Cupping

Massage cupping is a technique that involves suction and negative pressure, rather than tissue compression.  By applying a concentrated pressure over connective tissue, its restrictions, trigger points, and adhesions are broken up.  This technique increases blood flow while encouraging lymphatic circulation systemically, and to the local area, relaxes muscle tissue, draws out stagnation and toxins, and releases a myriad of pain causing factors.  The strong suction of the cups mimics the rolling action of deep tissue massage without the commonly accompanied discomfort.

There are many other benefits to incorporating cupping into your massage therapy treatment.  Your therapist will tailor the treatment to fit your needs and answer any questions you may have.
